Cialis Pills

Cialis® (tadalafil) is an erectile dysfunction drug that is available in four strengths:

  • Cialis 2.5 mg
  • Cialis 5 mg
  • Cialis 10 mg
  • Cialis 20 mg.

The medicine comes in the form of tablets (pills). For treating erectile dysfunction, the recommended starting dose for Cialis is 10 mg, taken one hour prior to sexual activity. However, you may take the medication anywhere from 1 hour to 36 hours before sexual activity.

Depending on how well Cialis pills work and whether you experience any side effects, your healthcare provider may increase or decrease your dosage. The maximum dose is 20 mg.

The recommended starting dose for treating the symptoms of an enlarged prostate is Cialis 5 mg daily. This is also the same dose that is used for treating both an enlarged prostate and erectile dysfunction at the same time (many men have both conditions).
