Effects of Cialis
Cialis has been studied in a wide variety of men, including those with diabetes and those who have undergone radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer. In all of the studies, Cialis was effective in helping men with erectile dysfunction engage in sexual activity. Erections lasted long enough for successful intercourse in up to 77 percent of men taking the recommended starting dose of Cialis 10 mg.
Cialis: How Effective Is It?
Cialis® (tadalafil) is a prescription medication used to treat erectile dysfunction, which is also known as impotence or ED. Cialis has been studied extensively in thousands of men with erectile dysfunction for various reasons. In all studies, Cialis has helped men with erectile dysfunction engage in sexual activity.Cialis is also approved for treating enlarged prostate symptoms.
Specific Effects of Cialis
To gain knowledge about Cialis and its effects, researchers asked men a series of questions about the ability to achieve erections and the ability to maintain an erection after penetration during each attempt at sexual intercourse. These men were also asked questions about orgasms, desire, satisfaction with intercourse, and overall sexual satisfaction.
Improvements in erections were somewhat based on the Cialis dosage. Men reported an improvement in erection enough to allow vaginal penetration up to 57 percent of the time with Cialis 5 mg, up to 77 percent of the time with Cialis 10 mg, and up to 85 percent of the time with Cialis 20 mg. In 33 to 75 percent of all cases (depending on the study), erections lasted long enough for successful intercourse.
Cialis can also help improve bladder symptoms in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), also known as an enlarged prostate. In studies, Cialis significantly decreased bladder symptoms, such as:
- Frequent urination
- Urgent need to urinate
- Urinating frequently at night,
- Weak urine stream
- Difficulty emptying the bladder.
