When Should You Take Cialis?

For Cialis® (tadalafil) to be effective, it must be taken as prescribed. Before starting treatment with this erectile dysfunction drug, it's important to understand how much Cialis to take, when you should take it, and what to do if you have any questions.

In many cases, Cialis is taken as needed -- typically an hour before sexual activity, although it can be taken anywhere from 1 to 36 hours before sexual activity. In other cases, a smaller dose of the medicine is prescribed for daily use, regardless of whether you plan to have sexual activity.

Either way, you should not take Cialis more than once a day. During treatment with this medicine, it doesn't matter if you take it with food or on an empty stomach.
