DHEA Drug Interactions

DHEA can interact with a number of medications. Drug interactions may occur if the supplement is taken together with hormone therapy medications, prednisone, citalopram, and verapamil, to name a few. DHEA may slow down the liver enzymes that metabolize many drugs and make hormone therapy for breast cancer less effective. To minimize your risk of interactions with DHEA, tell your healthcare provider about all other medications you are taking.
