Levitra Drug Interactions

Some of the drugs that can potentially interact with Levitra include nitrates, alpha blockers, and certain antibiotics or antifungals. Drug interactions with Levitra can potentially lead to side effects such as fainting or decreased blood pressure. An Overview of Levitra Drug Interactions

Levitra® (vardenafil HCL) can potentially interact with a number of other medicines. Some of the medications that can lead to Levitra interactions include:
 
 
  • Certain heart arrhythmia medicines, such as:
     
    • Amiodarone (Cordarone®)
    • Quinidine
    • Procainamide (Procanbid®, Pronestyl®)
    • Sotalol (Betapace).
 
  • Certain antibiotics or antifungals, such as:
 
    • Clarithromycin (Biaxin®)
    • Erythromycin (Ery-Tab®)
    • Isoniazid (Nydrazid®)
    • Itraconazole (Sporanox®)
    • Ketoconazole (Nizoral®)
    • Miconazole
    • Telithromycin (Ketek®)
 
  • Grapefruit juice

 

  • Nitrates, such as:
     
    • Isosorbide dinitrate (BiDil®, Dilatrate® SR, Isochron™, Isordil®)
    • Isosorbide mononitrate (Imdur®, Ismo®, Monoket®)
    • Nitroglycerin tablets or capsules (Nitroquick®, Nitrostat®, Nitro-Time®)
    • Nitroglycerin ointment (Nitro-Bid®)
    • Nitroglycerin patches (Minitran®, Nitrodisc®, Nitro-Dur®, Transderm-Nitro®, Transderm-NTG®)
    • Nitroglycerin spray (Nitrolingual®)
