Erectile Dysfunction Home > Erectile Dysfunction Information

When a man repeatedly cannot achieve or maintain an erection that is firm enough for sexual intercourse, he is considered to have erectile dysfunction (ED). There are a number of different causes, and while it is certainly a common condition, ED is not an inevitable part of the aging process.
The good news is that erectile dysfunction is treatable. Options include lifestyle changes, medication, counseling, and even special devices. The plan your healthcare provider recommends will depend on various factors, so even though it might be embarrassing to initiate a conversation about it, having as much information as you can about ED might make things easier.
