Viagra Dangers

Viagra® (sildenafil citrate) is licensed for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (also known as ED). Most men tolerate the medication without any problems; however, there are some potential dangers with Viagra to be aware of. For example, it may cause serious side effects, such as vision problems or hearing loss, that often require prompt medical attention.

In addition, Viagra can be dangerous to men with certain medical conditions or who are taking certain other medications. For example, men who have a history of heart disease may be more likely to experience problems with Viagra.

To ensure a safe, effective treatment process, tell your healthcare provider about any other medication you are taking, including vitamins, supplements, and nonprescription products, and provide a complete medical history, detailing any other medical conditions you have.
