Does VigRX Really Work?

VigRX™ is a popular herbal "male enhancement" supplement. Does it really work, though? Furthermore, what exactly is male enhancement? This article will attempt to answer these questions about the effectiveness of VigRX.

VigRX and Clinical Studies

It is not exactly clear what "male enhancement" means. However, advertisements for VigRX seem to imply that the supplement helps with penis enlargement and helps to treat impotence (also know as erectile dysfunction, or ED).

VigRX has never been evaluated in any human clinical studies, so there is no real evidence that it is effective for any use. Based on the supposed content of the capsules, it is possible that VigRX may provide some benefit for improving impotence. There is very preliminary evidence to suggest that ginseng (one of the active ingredients in VigRX) might be helpful for treating impotence.

Despite the scientific-sounding information provided on the VigRX advertisements and Web site, there is no real evidence that the other active ingredients are effective for providing any sort of male enhancement. In fact, there is some concern that saw palmetto (one of the active ingredients in VigRX) might actually cause or worsen erectile dysfunction.

There is no evidence that any of the ingredients in VigRX are effective for penis enlargement.
